I am a Dayton High School graduate Class of 2000 Dayton High Schoole. In Decemeber of 2017, I graduated San Jacinto College with my Associates Degree in Teaching. In May of 2017, I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Special Education. I am certified to teach EC-6th grade and also EC-12 Special Education.
This will be my 8th year with Dayton ISD and all 7 years have been at Stephen F. Austin Elementary. The first 5 years with the district I was an aide. My first year with the district I was an aide in Intervention, my 2nd year I was the art aide, and the last 3 years I was the aide in the Structure Learning Unit where I learned so much. This will be my third year as the teacher in the Structured Learning Classroom.
Prior to working for Dayton ISD I worked at a daycare where I was the Director for 9 years.
I am married to my wonderful husband Jason we have been married for 7 years. We have 3 children between the two of us Logan is 17, Katie is 13, and Michalynn is 11. I also helped raise my two niece Destianie is 18, and Katrina is 15. Destianie is a Freshmen at Sam Houston State University, Logan is a junior and Katrina is a Sophmore at Dayton High School. Katie is a 7th grader at Woodrow Wilson Jr. High and Michalynn is a 4th grader at Kimmie Brown Elementary. We have two boxers Layla and Diesel and a Catahoula Leopard named Buddy.
During hunting season we are at the deerlease every chance we get. During the summer we go on vacation and take the kids to different places. I love going to historical sites and reading everything.
