Kindergarten Teacher
I graduated from Dayton High Schol in 1998. In 2002, I graduated from Texas A&M University. I have completed my Masters Degree from University of Texas at Arlington in 2016. This is my 17th year in education!
I have a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in early childhood from Texas A&M. My Masters Degree is in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Literacy Studies.
I’ve attended a variety of workshops including Gifted and Talented, balanced literacy, and phonics trainings. I’m looking forward to implementing things I’ve learned in these trainings in my classroom.
This is my 17th year of teaching. Over the years, I’ve taught fourth, first, Kindergarten, second, Gifted and Talented pull-out.
When I graduated from college, I took a job teaching 4th grade at a very small school in East Texas called Lone Star Elementary. I've also taught 1st grade in Paris! No, not Paris, France...Paris, Texas! I then moved back home and taught 1st grade in Crosby, and finally came all the way home to Dayton.
I have been married to my husband, Jason, for 15 years. We have 2 beautiful children, Logan and Lanie. They are 12 and 8 years old. They are both involved in baseball/softball, which keeps us very busy!
When I’m not working on school work, my family and I love to go camping (glamping) in our camper. My son and daughter also keep my husband and I busy with their extra-curricular activities.
