In the Science Lab:
SFA students were introduced to the school’s new Nile crocodile named Snappy! The school pet’s new home will be in the Science Lab with Mrs. Nordenstrom.
In the Library:
Students in grades K-2 will learn about using their imagination by listening to a picture book being read (Not a Box by Anotinette Portis) and then working with classmates to create something using their imaginations out of a box and a few simple items.
Students in grades 3-5 will learn about tolerance, the character trait for the second 6-weeks, and rotate centers.
Upcoming Book Fair
The library will have a book fair November 6-10, 2017 with a family night Thursday, November 9 from 5:30 pm to 7 pm. The theme this year is Wild West, so saddle up your horses and visit the book fair y’all!
Kindergarten is working on "The Day the Crayolas Quit' by Drew Daywalt
1st Grade is working on: "Catch the Holiday Spirit"
3rd Grade is working on: Patriotic/Texas Music (Book Fair Nov. 7th at 5:30 PM to perform)
2nd Grade is working on:"Singing in the Rainforest" for a February Book Fair event
50 Mile Club
Students in grades 2-5 may participate in the 50 Mile Club once again this year. This is an optional running/walking club. Many students are very close to reaching 10 miles and getting their first ribbon!!
Focus in October
Kick off for Rodeo Art Contest starts in October through the first week in December!
Students are working diligently on computer skills and grade level lessons.
9:25-10:15: First Grade
11:15-12:05: Third Grade
12:10-1:00: Fifth Grade
1:05-1:35: Lunch for Specials Teachers
1:40- 2:30: Second Grade
2:35-3:25: Fourth Grade
