In the Science Lab:
SFA students were introduced to the school’s new Nile crocodile named Snappy! The school pet’s new home will be in the Science Lab with Mrs. Nordenstrom.
In the Library:
Spring Book Fair
The Spring Book Fair will be February 5-9, 2018. Paws for Books will be the theme. The book fair will close Friday, February 9 at noon.
Author Melissa M. Williams will be speaking to students in third through fifth grade Wednesday, February 28 from 8:35 to 9:35 am in the cafeteria.
2nd Grade is working on "Singing in the Rainforest" for the February Book Fair event. Students will present their music program Thursday, February 8 at 2 pm in the cafeteria.
4th Grade students are learning to play the recorder.
5th Grade students are continuing the recorder from last year and practicing their talent(s) for the upcoming talent show.
Students in grades 3-5 are completing the FitnessGram, which tests aerobic capacity, muscular strength and endurance, and flexibility.
Adopt a Beach Contest
All students are working on the Adopt a Beach art contest in art class.
All students are learning the importance of digital citizenship (how to be safe online, safe searching, being respectful online, etc).
K-2 students are learning proper computer terms and how to use computer equipment such as software and hardware.
9:25-10:15: First Grade
11:15-12:05: Third Grade
12:10-1:00: Fifth Grade
1:05-1:35: Lunch for Specials Teachers
1:40- 2:30: Second Grade
2:35-3:25: Fourth Grade
